Having run both, my own view is that the $10 annual premium represents the better value for protective software from a company with a world-renowned track record in this specialised sector - BitDefender - compared with that from a company - iObit - whose specialism has never been in this sector but, instead, in so-called computer 'optimization'. By contrast, the BitDefender sibling's trial period is 30 days. Thanks to GOTD today, the iObit sibling can be trialed for six months. Long a curious hybrid - its conception is part iObit, part BitDefender, its provenance 2012's iObit Advanced System Care PRO - 'Malware Fighter Pro' is nowadays even odder for the parental rivalry that continues to obtain.Ĭontrary to the price quoted on this page, iObit has been selling its Malware Fighter Pro at $20 off (down to $19.95 a year for three computers) ever since BitDefender started selling its Antivirus Plus at $30 off (down to $29.99 a year for three computers.)
